The CD74HCT154M96 is a high-speed CMOS 4-to-16 line decoder/demultiplexer from Texas Instruments HCT family. It accepts four binary-coded address inputs (A0–A3) and activates one of 16 mutually exclusive outputs LOW, making it ideal for address decoding, memory chip-select generation, and data routing in TTL-compatible 5V digital systems. Two active-LOW enable inputs (E1, E2) must both be LOW for normal decode operation, providing convenient cascading and output blanking. The M96 suffix denotes a 24-pin wide-body SOIC package for reliable SMD assembly.
The SN7406DR is a hex inverting buffer and driver with open-collector outputs from Texas Instruments, housed in the SOIC-14 surface-mount package. It contains six independent inverter/driver channels, each capable of sinking up to 40 mA at 30 V, making it ideal for driving TTL logic levels into higher-voltage loads such as relays, indicator lamps, and bus lines. The open-collector architecture enables wire-AND logic and direct interface to MOS and CMOS devices.
